Description

Abstract: Preservation and provision of access to documentary cultural heritage constitute a significant challenge in the context of contemporary digital transformation. The development of information technologies creates new opportunities for the digitization, preservation, and dissemination of archival and library resources, as well as for expanding access to knowledge. University libraries play an important role in building the digital ecosystem of cultural memory by supporting the processes of digitization, management, and provision of access to information resources. Through the implementation of modern technologies and the development of institutional cooperation, they contribute to the more effective preservation and promotion of documentary heritage. The publication examines the possibilities for developing strategies for digitization and management of information resources in university libraries, as well as the importance of cooperation between different cultural memory institutions. Emphasis is placed on the role of university libraries as an intermediary in the processes of knowledge exchange and in ensuring broader access to cultural heritage in a digital environment.
