Description
This paper examines the key risks associated with the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) systems into military command chains. The analysis covers the main components of the decision-making process, including data, algorithms and models, software and system integration, communication infrastructure, and the human factor. The study emphasises that while AI offers significant advantages in accelerating analysis, enhancing situational awareness, and supporting operational planning, its deployment also introduces new vulnerabilities. These include risks related to low-quality or manipulated data, malicious model modifications, software dependency vulnerabilities, reliance on communication networks, and excessive trust in automated recommendations.
