Description

This paper discusses mathematical and simulation models that could be applied to shopping mall evacuation problems. The so-called macroscopic approaches are based on dynamic network flow models. The maximum dynamic flow problem and the quickest flow problem are formulated. The so-called microscopic approaches are based on simulation modelling through multi-agent systems. The possibilities for realistic reproduction of the pro-cesses are considered. On this basis, simple building layout is analysed.
