Description
The constantly changing geostrategic security environment leads to the emergence of new geostrategic projects that have a strong impact on the Balkan Peninsula region.
It should be noted that Bulgaria and its National Security System are highly vulnerable to any project. Some of them seem regional at first glance, but nevertheless have a global impact, while others are global, but have a stronger impact at the regional level. Among them we can list the following projects: "One Belt, One Road" of China, "Neutral Ukraine" of Russia, "Blue Fatherland" (Mavi Vatan) of Turkey and "Global America"/"Monroe Doctrine V.2" of the USA and many others.
All of them pose a certain risk and even a threat to the National Security of the Republic of Bulgaria, and hence to its National Security System.
In this article we are going to focus mainly on the aforementioned geostrategic projects and we will elicit the main challenges, risks and dangers posed by them for the Bulgarian National Security System.
